With the first quarter of 2023 over it is time to look at what has changed, both big and small. As the user base of my projects has grown over time, I've realized that it is unfeasible to ask every user to keep themselves updated all the time. I've taken the liberty of adopting Dolphin's Progress Report format, which is a text version of what other projects use video announcements for. Just my kind of thing! I will try to keep these Progress Reports happening regularly, probably once per quarter as I work alone on things. If I ever end...
It's been a while since the last visible change to the Website, almost exactly two years now. In 2019, I switched the theme back to a more lightweight version with the old 2016 CSS override applied, but eventually that was no longer enough. Over time, WordPress's updates spiralled out of my control, changing how WordPress worked - and at the same time also drastically increasing processing time required. While the move to a more powerful machine initially improved the situation, after a few updates to WordPress even that was negated. It was time to find an alternative solution, one which...
This release was plagued with odd bugs, reappearing problems, and delays from real life events happening to me. But now, after several months of nothing, VoiceFX v0.3.0 is available! Why not delve into what exactly was changed, with some visual examples?
Due to the new GPU generations being released by the two major vendors (and soon three major vendors), I've currently put the project on indefinite hold. The current discoveries still hold for all existing encoders, which makes newer tests unnecessary for the time being. Even the early runs have not resulted in different settings compared to before. For the time being, I've left the old data online, while I quietly work on making a new, more user friendly version possible. Perhaps I will even allow user submissions in order to increase the number of tested GPUs, but that requires a...

Due to an excessive amount of channels required for StreamFX, I've decided to split it off into its own Discord server. You can join it using this link, and enjoy all the new features in it. Make sure to read the rules and select your roles according to what you want to do! The Server features dedicated roles for each category of tasks, in order to better help users do things. Each role also has a dedicated releases channel for their own content in order to spread the content to other creators that are less skilled at the task. You...
If you haven't heard of RTX Voice, it's basically "Krisp" in Discord but with less shitty audio quality. It's based on Tensor, which can fall back onto CUDA hardware, but runs best on RTX due to the hardware accelerated Tensor cores on it. You can find a guide on how to set it up here on Nvidias own website.
A short while ago I teased a new filter live on stream, and now that the Nvidia counterpart for it is publicly released I can finally go into more detail on what it does, why it is useful, and how you too can now use it on your Nvidia GeForce RTX hardware.
With StreamFX 0.8.0 being almost right on the doorstep of a stable release, I want to take a moment and guide you through everything that has changed since version 0.7.2. After all, who wants to upgrade to something they don't know anything about?
